The Mulan International Film Festival (“MulanIFF”) was founded in 2018 by seven University of Toronto alumni. It is a federally incorporated not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to showcasing the best of Chinese-language films and historically significant films about China. During the festival, we organize exhibitions, panel discussions, seminars and conferences on topics related to cinematic arts and artists.
We aim at facilitating appreciation of Chinese cinema across Canadian communities and inspiring our audience to discuss contemporary conflicts, challenges, and opportunities from a global perspective.
MulanIFF is currently run by a small group of volunteers who are deeply passionate about Chinese films and culture. Where our knowledge and experience fall short, we make up by trying harder. We look forward to meeting you at our second edition which runs from August 9 to August 17, 2019.
