Ortigia Film Festival XIII Edition – 2021 The international festival of the city of Syracuse, announces the dates of the XIII edition that will be held from July 11 to 18 in its island. The twelfth edition of Ortigia Film Festival was a big bet. We succeeded in reaching the objective set by realizing the festival in presence and we had an excellent response from the public in compliance with covid-19 safety standards. New challenges await us for the thirteenth edition that looks at new collaborations, sections and screens to grow in other places of the island and the city and broaden the national and international communication horizons of the island of cinema. www.ortigiafilmfestival.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The mission of the OFF (Ortigia film festival acronym) was to think of it as a trait d'union between the cinema, the numerous audiences, the squares and courtyards of the island of Ortigia, transformed for the occasion into cinematic arenas and meeting places for spectators and guests, in a fluid interchange, under the aegis of the successful trinomial: culture/tourism/development. The sections of the festival: Competitive: * Italian First and Second Feature Film Competition * International documentary competition * International short films competition Non-competitive: * Cinema Women * Cinema & Theatre The films will be selected with the final decision of the Artistic Director and a Festival Selection Committee. The audience of Ortigia film festival this year will judge and award not only the prize for best film and best short film, but also the prize for best documentary. Applications will be submitted by the deadline of April 30, 2021. The requested material will be made available to the festival and can be used for all forms of promotion and communication related to the festival. Please read the rules carefully before submitting your application. The Artistic Direction has the right to disqualify all films that do not comply with these regulations. La dodicesima edizione di Ortigia Film Festival è stata una grande scommessa. Siamo riusciti a raggiungere l’obiettivo prefissato realizzando il festival in presenza e abbiamo avuto un ottimo riscontro di pubblico nel rispetto delle norme di sicurezza covid-19. Nuove sfide ci attendono per la tredicesima edizione che guarda a inedite collaborazioni, sezioni e schermi per crescere in altri luoghi dell’isola e della città e allargare gli orizzonti comunicativi nazionali e internazionali dell’isola del cinema. www.ortigiafilmfestival.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ La missione di OFF (acronimo di Ortigia film festival) è stato pensarlo come un trait d’union tra il cinema, il numeroso pubblico, le piazze e i cortili dell’isola di Ortigia, trasformati per l’occasione in arene cinematografiche e luoghi d’incontro tra spettatori e ospiti, in un fluido interscambio, sotto l’ègida del riuscito trinomio: cultura/ turismo/sviluppo. Le sezioni del festival: Competitiva: * Concorso Lungometraggi opere prime e seconde italiane * Concorso internazionale documentari * Concorso internazionale cortometraggi Non competitiva: * Cinema Women * Cinema & Teatro I film saranno selezionati con la decisione finale del Direttore Artistico e di un Comitato di Selezione del Festival. Il pubblico dell'Ortigia film festival quest'anno giudicherà e premierà non solo il premio per il miglior film e il miglior cortometraggio, ma anche il premio per il miglior documentario. Le candidature saranno presentate entro la scadenza del 30 aprile 2021. Il materiale richiesto sarà messo a disposizione del festival e potrà essere utilizzato per tutte le forme di promozione e comunicazione legate al festival.
