Short On Work

International contest for audiovisual products on work 2019 – 7th edition “SHORT on WORK – global short-video contest on contemporary work” is an international contest for short-films about contemporary work, which was designed and produced by Marco Biagi Foundation – PhD in Work, Development and Innovation Research – University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. The goal of this contest is to support and collect audiovisual products on contemporary work, as well as fostering the expansion of an international audiovisual archive of the many representations of contemporary work, for didactic and research purposes. As an inter-disciplinary approach was adopted, all audiovisual products are able to capture the diverse transformations that work went through during the last decades, in an original and unique way, overcoming the traditional polarization between industrial videos and social documentary films. The focus of Short on Work is mainly on short films, as an expression of the approach to audiovisual works as a tool for research and insight, and not merely as an instrument for documentary purposes.
