The 25th Just Film ran alongside Black Nights from 7 to 23 November 2025 in Tallinn and Tartu, putting young audiences on both sides of the judging table. Jen Skinner, Nuria Aidelman and Meel Paliale awarded the international Grand Prix to Dovilė Gasiūnaitė’s They Call Me Danka, a portrait of a teenager forced into the adult role in her family. The youth jury chose Wheelie, the children’s jury picked Leo & Lou, and the juniors favoured The Songbirds’ Secret. Mira received both the ECFA award and an acting commendation, with special recognition for Ellen Edith Pultz-Hansen. A class jury from Saku Gymnasium chose Thanks for Nothing, while Ketlin Kõiv’s Sunflower won the #youngfilmmaker prize, recognising work made by young filmmakers themselves.
