Whistler Film Festival

The Whistler Film Festival, in its 23rd edition, presents a diverse lineup from November 29 to December 3, 2023, in Whistler, BC, with additional online screenings from December 4 to 17. This year's selection, chosen from over 1,900 submissions, features 97 films across 12 program strands, including 35 features and 62 shorts from 14 countries. The festival highlights a range of genres, from award-season contenders and new Canadian features to mountain adventure films and global projects. It supports emerging talent, showcasing films by first-time directors and promoting gender equity with a significant number of films directed by women and women-identifying directors. Moreover, the competition includes cash and prizes totaling over $189,500 across 16 film and 2 pitch categories, judged by esteemed cinematic professionals.
