Vadim Oborvalov was born in 1976 in Kazan, Russia. In 1997 he graduated from the Kazan Art College, Faculty of Design. In 2008 he graduated from VGIK, animation directing workshop under the direction of Aida Petrovna Zyablikova and Vladimir Nikolaevich Zuikov.
The author of animated films: "Batwing" (2007, VGIK), "White-blue Silence" ("VGIK-Debut", 2014).
In 2008 he worked as an animator at the Metronome studio, in 2009 – at the Master Film studio; in 2010 - as a series director on the series "Belka and Strelka", in 2017-2019 – director of the series "Houses".
Since 2019 – director of the animated series "Nick the inventor".
In 2011-2016 he taught animation and computer graphics at VGIK.
