Steve Socki

Steve Socki is a freelance animator currently based in Chicago and teaching at DePaul University. He received his Master of Arts from the California Institute of the Arts, where he studied with his mentor Jules Engel. His current film Hallowstide was completed in October 2017. To date, it has been accepted into 45 festivals and won 12 awards. His previous film Sparrow Duo was selected to compete in over 60 international film festivals including Holland, Animfest, Melbourne, BuSho, Cinematica and World Animation Celebration. His earlier films include The Water Cycle and The Chalk Tale.

Steve has also worked for over 25 years in Hollywood as a director and animation producer on animated series such as Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Curious George, The Simpsons and Futurama. He was nominated for 5 Emmy Awards and won 1.
