Martin Snopek

Martin Snopek was born in Bratislava in 1974. He studied animation at the Faculty of Film and Television at the Academy of Stage Arts in Bratislava. His graduation work Everyday Grazing and his next film Pik and Nik were presented at several international film festivals, where they received awards and high praise from the jury. Between 2000-2002 he worked as graphic designer for Slovak television. Since 2007, he has taught animation. His film The Last Bus (2011) co-directed with animation director Ivana Laučikova was screened at many international film festivals with great success and won many prizes including the Grand Prix at the XXII International Film Festival Message to Man.
