StopTrik International Film Festival 2024 Announces Dates, Opens Submissions

The StopTrik International Film Festival, a prestigious event celebrating stop motion and experimental animation, has officially announced its dates and opened the call for entries for its 2024 edition. The festival is scheduled for autumn in Maribor, Slovenia (September 25-29), and winter in Lodz, Poland (December 5-8), marking its 13th consecutive year.

This year, the festival will host several competition programs, including the "International Competition Programme: Stop Motion Animation," "International Competition Programme: Borderlands," and the "Panorama" section, which is non-competitive. Additionally, the festival will continue with the "International Competition Programme: Stop Motion Animation for Children," engaging young audiences in the judging process.

Eligible submissions should employ techniques of stop motion animation or a combination with other film expressions, produced after January 1, 2022, and must not exceed 30 minutes in duration. This ensures a showcase of innovative and recent works that challenge the norms of animation.

Artists interested in participating are urged to review the terms and regulations provided on the festival's official website. Entries should be submitted using the specific entry form by the July 10, 2024 deadline.
