Foyle Film Festival 2024: Light in Motion Competition Winners Unveiled in Northern Ireland
The Foyle Film Festival 2024, held in Derry, Northern Ireland, culminated on December 1 with the announcement of the Light in Motion Competition winners during a closing night gala at the Brunswick Moviebowl. The event also featured the Northern Ireland premiere of "On Becoming a Guinea Fowl," courtesy of Picturehouse Entertainment.
As Northern Ireland's only Oscar® and BAFTA-accredited short film competition, the Light in Motion (LIM) awards have established themselves as a global platform for recognizing outstanding talent in short and animated filmmaking. Sponsored by City of Derry Crystal, the awards span five key categories: Best Irish Short, Best International Short, Best Animated Short, Best British Short, and Best British Animated Short.
