For some unknown reason, the chicken begins to lay unbreakable eggs and becomes useless for a poor but pragmatic village farm. Having escaped from the ruined village, the chicken gets to Moscow of the NEP era. After a dull and squalid rural life, our heroine is amazed by the capital's brilliance and noise.
