Stable

'Stable’ is a coming of age story about the emotional tug of war experienced by a young man, Conor, from an economically deprived part of post-industrial North East England. Trying to better himself and fulfil his potential as a horse racing jockey after being given the opportunity of a lifetime, he’s pulled back by the moral dilemma of the responsibility he owes to his family, having become the surrogate father to his six siblings. Conor’s father left the family when he was young, his mother passed away shortly after his 18th birthday. As a result, being the oldest in a multi-child household, he has taken on that responsibility with very little guidance.
