Mom is a semi-fictional documentary that examines generational inheritance from a gendered lens through the story of the director's mother. The film follows Sevin, who, after a lifetime of being denied the chance to pursue her dreams—and eventually forgetting how to imagine them—never thought She would set foot on a stage again. Now, as She embraces the first leading role of her life, Mom opens a window onto the lives of women who once were held back from their dreams and have since become mothers themselves.
