A young fifth-grade teacher in Belleville -one of Paris’s most multicultural neighborhoods- transforms her classroom into a kitchen, inviting her students to become cooks and cultural storytellers. As social tensions ripple beyond the school walls, Marion uses cooking to strengthen connections among her students as they share family recipes, visit neighborhood restaurants, and meet chefs and food scholars who deepen their understanding of culture and identity. Through meals and conversation, the classroom becomes a space where differences are explored with curiosity rather than fear. Tender and socially observant, the film reflects on immigration, stereotypes, and belonging, revealing how food can nurture dialogue and empathy within a changing society.
