Takk... 20 Years Later

Through intimate new interviews with the rarely interviewed members of Sigur Rós, this short documentary revisits the making of their landmark album, Takk…. Filmed in Iceland in the summer of 2025, twenty years after the album’s release, director Einar Egilsson shapes the story around the band members’ humour and openness, interweaving their reflections with an homage to Sundlaugin studio in Kvosin, Mosfellsbær, where the album was recorded, alongside archival footage and photographs of the band on the verge of global recognition and international success.
