Inversion (The Sound of Isolation)

Made during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown in a new apartment building where the neighbours were drilling through every wall, this vertical art video turns renovation noise into music. Sound artist Kristina Petukhina answers the drills with violin, Octatrack, Korg and Kaoss Pad, playing along like an industrial orchestra, while a single iPhone photo of the building is transformed through 13 Instagram masks.
