Ottawa International Animation Film Festival
Festival international du film d'animation d'Ottawa
Independent shorts, animated features and experiments with the form sit alongside studio work at the Ottawa International Animation Festival. The festival dates back to its first edition in 1976 and operates as a division of the Canadian Film Institute. Its five-day programme takes place across downtown Ottawa, combining international competitions, retrospectives, filmmaker talks and screenings for young audiences.
Animation Exposé opens up the creative process behind recent productions, while The Animation Conference connects creators and producers with industry partners through panels, pitching and networking. Pitch THIS! supports project presentations with a mentorship component, and Fast Track pairs creators with development and acquisitions executives.
