CINANIMA, officially known as the Festival Internacional de Cinema de Animação, is an international animation film festival co-organized by NASCENTE, a Cooperative Society with Cultural Purposes, and the Espinho City Hall. The festival has been promoting animation cinema and its authors since its inception in 1976. The festival is held annually in Espinho, Portugal, and it celebrated its 47th year in 2023. The event typically runs in November. It is recognized and approved by ASIFA, the Association International du Film d’Animation.
